Careem Reduces Prices for its Bike and Rickshaw Rides

One of the popular ride-hailing services of Pakistan, Careem has decided to reduce its prices for making rides more affordable for users.

The company has just adjusted its prices by discounting fares for its riders of Careem BIKE and TEZZ.  Careem has updates per kilometer and per minute charges for its bike and rickshaw rides.

Previously, the company has increased its fares due to rising prices of fuel. Therefore, the decision of reducing fares for the cheapest ride options is very good indeed.

You can travel first 5 kilometers for as low as Rs 49 on Careem Bike. Additional charges, along with base fare for Careem BIKE, go as follows;

For the first five kilometers, you can pay as low as Rs 49 on Careem Bike. Additional Charges along with base fares will apply as follows:

• Additional per kilometer charge for BIKE is Rs. 5.
• Additional per minute charge for BIKE is Rs. 2.

For example, if you travel from Faizabad, Islamabad to Peshawar More, Islamabad, according to a latest Careem calculator, you will have to pay Rs 74.

The company has introduced a Careem TEZZ option for users, who prefer rickshaw over a bike. Like BIKE, customers will have to pay Rs 60 for first five kilometers. Here are the additional charges that will apply accordingly:

• Additional per kilometer charge for TEZZ is Rs. 13.
• Additional per minute charge for TEZZ is Rs. 2.5.

As compared to BIKE, the estimated fare of a ride from Faizabad, Islamabad to Peshawar More, Islamabad will be 138.

The company has taken this decision for getting a competitive advantage over its competitor such as Uber. Moreover, Careem has been working hard to make its bike and rickshaw ride-hailing services more popular.
